Natural HairCare! No More Relaxers! We can do it!
I would like the first start by saying thanks to JoVan of Kansas City, Missouri for sharing a photo this morning via facebook of a very short blonde natural cut that inspired such a strong desire in me to abandon relaxers. I'm already been pondering the idea, and have been for some time as I encourage many clients to go natural. I have to say yes Jesslyn, Camille, and Brittany, all of Kansas City, Missouri, began inspiring me about five years ago as they decided to say no to "the creamy crack!" I was so impressed with their decision as transitioning can be a challenging adjustment. Please remember ladies natural hair can be straightened and colored alike. There are many products on the market that claim to be gentle, but always refer to a professional when choosing heat and color options for your hair. You wanna protect your natural tress with natural products. Which raises my next concern for us as a people... There are no natural products found at the corner supply. Even if it boasts these claims, again consult a professional before you go filling up that hall closet with a bunch of wax, emu, and fragrance in a bottle or jar for that matter..It's just all cut. No nutrients the hair can eat. Just a coat of waxy silicone that gives the illusion and temporary feel of soft hair. Know what you are buying. Know what in the product. Know what that ingredient does for your hair. And most importantly, know how to properly use professional products because there's a huge difference! Come on yall lets shop to our advantage and not against our advantage...GoesheNatural!
